Game of Thrones' Final Season Experiences 4th Leak in a Row

Game of Thrones has experienced its fourth leak in four weeks. The HBO series is currently airing its 8th and final season, but these highly anticipated episodes keep being unveiled ahead of schedule.

After a nearly two-year break, viewers were eagerly awaiting the Game of Thrones season premiere on April 14. However, the episode became available on DirecTV hours before its scheduled airtime. In a completely unrelated incident, the trouble continued the following week when fans were able to catch the season’s 2nd installment early on Amazon Prime in Germany. Last week didn’t see the whole episode leak, but screen shots of key scenes made their way onto the internet hours before viewers were prepared to see them.

According to Deadline, the same thing appears to have happened again this week, with clips being posted well before viewers had access to the new installment. The leak apparently shows a pivotal moment from episode 4, which is set to air tonight. Fans have been waiting with bated breath to see the aftermath of last week’s “The Long Night,” which featured the show’s longest battle scene ever. Of course, the trailer for episode 4 revealed precious little about the installment, although Jon Snow actor Kit Harrington did state that it’s one of his favorites.


Despite the leaks, viewers have still been tuning into the show’s final season in record-breaking numbers for both HBO and Game of Thrones. “The Long Night” even set a new ratings high, as fans watched their favorite characters band together against the Night King and his army of the dead. The leaks may not have adversely affected the show’s viewership, but keeping the story under wraps has been a constant battle for showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss. Every year it seems as though more precautions must be taken to keep the information confidential, with scripts being known to vanish as soon as those scenes have been shot.

Although excitement for Game of Thrones has reached fever pitch, most fans would prefer to remain spoiler-free. Viewers may be on the edge of their seats waiting to see how this epic story will conclude, but that doesn’t mean that they they’d actually want to find out ahead of schedule. It’s one thing to have the show spoiled for you, but many seem intent on sharing the experience with unsuspecting victims. In fact, those hoping to remain ignorant of any story points prior to seeing the actual Game of Thrones episodes may want to stay off the internet for the next few hours just to be on the safe side.

CW Superman Won't Return to Supergirl During Season 4 18 Mar, 2019 Tyler Hoechlin's Superman won't be returning in Supergirl season 4. Introduced in Supergirl season 2, Hoechlin's version of the Man of Steel has become a firm fan-favorite. Debuting in 2007, the hit CBS show centers around a group of nerdy friends living in Pasadena. As the years went by, fans have grown to love Sheldon (Jim Parsons), Leonard (Johnny Galecki), Penny (Kaley Cuoco), Howard (Simon Helberg) and Raj (Kunal Nayyar), and eventually Bernadette (Melissa Rauch) and Amy (Mayim Bialik), but despite continued popularity, the series' current season 12 will be its final after Jim Parsons' reluctance to return for another year. However, before it bows out, the project has nabbed another accolade to the delight of its fans. NBC's Cheers debuted in 1992 and ran for 11 brilliant seasons with 275 episodes.
