Star Wars: Rogue One Reshoot Director Is Writing Cassian Andor Disney+ Show 16 Oct, 2019 Tony Gilroy is returning to Star Wars after his involvement in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story's reshoots to write and direct episodes of the Cassian Andor Disney+ show. As the second movie from Lucasfilm under Disney's leadership, Rogue One's difficulties through production are well chronicled. The movie went through extensive reshoots late in the game to reshape most of the third act. These were handled by Tony Gilroy primarily, with original director Gareth Edwards still involved. All of the turmoil was worth it in the end though, as Rogue One was well-received and made over $1 billion worldwide. The clear success of the movie complicated the massive success of the standalone adventure, which ended with all of its main cast members dying.
