Hosted by Bear Grylls, Hostile Planet is a six-part event that takes a look at how various animals around the world have adapted to their harsh environments, continuously battling for survival. Each installment explores a unique habitat, with the first episode (airing today, April 1) showcasing the mountains. Sloths are one species featured prominently during Hostile Planet's run, a series that take an unprecedented approach to its intense visual storytelling thanks in part due to Oscar-winning cinematographer Guillermo Navarro serving as Executive Producer. Sloths primarily call the rainforests of South and Central America home and are known for their slow movements (a characteristic that was lampooned in Disney's 2016 film Zootopia). Jai Courtney Confirms He's Returning For James Gunn's Suicide Squad 30 Mar, 2019 Suicide Squad actor Jai Courtney has confirmed that his character, Captain Boomerang, will indeed be returning for James Gunn's upcoming sequel, The Suicide Squad. As the movie's title suggests, this will be as much a soft reboot as a sequel, focusing largely on a new group of villains as they're rounded up to reluctantly form a crime-fighting team. Other returning characters include Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn, and the sharpshooter assassin Deadshot - though the latter won't be played by Will Smith this time around. Due to scheduling conflicts preventing Smith from taking part in the sequel, Idris Elba is in talks to replace him as the character. Other DC villains that are expected to feature in The Suicide Squad's team include King Shark, Peacemaker, Polka Dot Man, and Ratcatcher, and Gunn reportedly wants Guardians of the Galaxy actor Dave Bautista to play Peacemaker...

Avengers: Endgame Projected To Break Worldwide Box Office Record 30 Mar, 2019 Avengers: Endgame is projected to shatter the all-time worldwide opening weekend record by bringing in more than $800 million in its debut. The Marvel Cinematic Universe had humble beginnings in the early days of Phase 1, but the franchise's profile grew exponentially after the original Avengers came out in 2012. That film grossed $1.5 billion at the box office and firmly established the MCU as one of today's premier movie properties. In the seven years since, Marvel has only grown in prominence, successfully making hit films out of obscure and second-tier characters like the Guardians of the Galaxy and Ant-Man. With the release of Captain Marvel earlier this month, the MCU is now past the $18 billion mark globally and that figure will substantially rise in the next month. April sees the premiere of Avengers: Endgame, sequel to the $2 billion smash Infinity War. Already, Endgame is tracking to bre...

Directed by Chloe Zhao and written by Matthew and Ryan Firpo, The Eternals is expected to send viewers back thousands of years into the past and could end up serving as a prequel to the MCU. Charlie's Angels Shifts Release Date To Avoid Terminator: Dark Fate 30 Mar, 2019 Sony has moved its Charlie's Angels reboot back to avoid opening on the same day as Paramount's Terminator: Dark Fate. The Charlie's Angels brand kicked off with the original TV series in 1976, and revolves around a team of female super-detectives who report to their enigmatic boss, Charlie Townsend. The Terminator, meanwhile, got started in 1984 with James Cameron's sci-fi action-thriller of the same name. The Terminator and Charlie's Angels franchises have seen their ups and downs over the years, to put it mildly. As a result, the former is going back to the drawing board with Dark Fate, which will ignore the last three Terminator movies and serve as a direct continuation of Cameron's sequel, Terminator 2: Judgement Day. Similarly, Charlie's Angels will attempt to revive the property sixteen years after the last film, Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle, proved to be a...
